Stateline Sports Hub’s NUIC Basketball Rankings For Jan. 5

The second AP boys and girls basketball state rankings were released Jan. 3 and three NUIC schools are ranked in the top 10.

East Dubuque, unbeaten in 15 outings, moved from 10th to third in the boys rankings.

Ashton/Franklin Center was second in girls with Galena tied for 10th. Amboy received votes and was just out of the top ten.

Here are our latest NUIC boys and girls basketball rankings.

  4. Polo 11-4
  5. Ashton/Franklin Center 8-4
  6. Forreston 7-5

Girls

  1. Galena 12-0
  2. Ashton/Franklin Center 14-1
  3. Amboy 13-2
