Former Guilford Star Hubbard Heading To Georgia College
Former Rockford Guilford star Juwan Hubbard is moving on to continue his college basketball career, signing to play with NCAA Division 2 team Georgia College.
Hubbard spend last season playing for NJCAA Division 2 school Carl Sandburg College last season, where he averaged 17.1 points per game and 4.1 assists per game. He also led Division 2 in free throw attempts with 303.
He helped lead the Chargers to a 18-16 record. CSC won their first Region IV District A Tournament and made their first appearance in the NJCAA Division 2 National Tournament.
Georgia College finished last season at 10-16 last season, going 6-13 and finishing in last place in the West Division of the Peach Belt Conference.
“Juwan is a great addition to our program,” Georgia College coach Terry Sellers said. “We felt like the point guard position was our top priority in the recruiting process.”
